The Fa Daet Song Yang ancient city is located at Ban Sema, Tambon Nong Pean, ÍÓàÀÍ¡ÁÅÒäÊÂ
Taking the highway No 214 from Kalasin to Roi Et about 19 kilometers. At Amphoe
Kamalasai take the street in fornt of Kamalasai school about 6 kilometerst5o the
intersection of Ban Sema, then ture right about 400 meters.

Pha That Ya Khu is the biggest pagoda among pagada in the ancient city of Fa Daet
Song Yang. It was made from bricks. Its pedestal is in the shape of octagon. According
to the evidence, each part of the pagoda was built in 3 periods. The square-shaped
pedestalwas built in the Dvaravadi period, while the upper octagon-shaped pedestal
was built in the Ayudhya period. In terms of the bell and the tip, they were added in the
Rattanakosin period. The pagoda was surrounded by boundary stones which are carved
to depict the life of Lord Buddha. In May of every year, the villagers hold a rocket festival
in the area of Pha That Ya Khu to ask for the rain and peace for them.
